Sustainability

As a jewelry brand, we want to be transparent about the manufacturing process and materials of our products. All wood used in jewelry has already been used once, or from felled trees that were felled for reasons beyond our control. None of the wood used has not been felled for our jewelry.

We order the steel parts of the jewelry from domestic online stores and the parts have passed the test for nickel release. We order the silver parts from European manufacturers, most often from Poland.

We strive to purchase packaging materials from reliable European and domestic manufacturers. Cardboard jewelry boxes and mailing boxes come from Denmark. We purchase other packaging materials from stores and a Helsinki-based printing house.

Jewelry is intended to last, and we are constantly developing products in terms of their durability. For example, we test occasionally manufacturing methods and surface treatment options suitable for wood.

When manufacturing wooden parts, we have found the most efficient way to manufacture small wooden parts so far. We first saw and sand a blank (wooden block) to the desired shape, from which we can saw about 20 pieces at a time. This increases the similarity of the pieces, and does not require energy to use equipment to shape each piece individually. The initial surface sanding is done with a sanding wheel, but the final sanding is done by hand individually.
